That's good to hear. People find different ways to stay calm, stay sane. For some, it is exercise and yoga, for some, it is music, books, and movies, and for others, it's meditation. You have found meditation to be calming, which is very good. Don't let go of this habit, though. :)
Absolutely. Everyone has their choice of poison and antidote. Keep up your good work Aditi. Your news letters bring a sense of joy in my mailbox and its very difficult to hold on to it without opening.
In these grim times, I can understand it's hard to be motivated. But, there's a bright side. Tell yourself that you want to be at your fittest best this year. And write it down, mark it on the calendar, create a memo on your phone. :)
It is indeed essential to be fit and take 'fitness' regime of whatever best suits one very seriously. Yes, it was a golden chance for all of us to adopt a strategic fitness workout/ routine be it for as less as 20 minutes. My mantra for fitness is 'DO YOUR BIT FROM WAKE-UP TO BED TIME'. Usually, fitness takes a slack when we our priorities change. Also we are in a mindset that a time has to be SET ASIDE for fitness. Wait and reflect! What if you do this as simply as you do your other routine such as brushing/ cooking etc. Just this statement will change our perspective - MOVE JOINTS THE MINUTE YOU WAKE UP, RIGHT IN THE BED, BREATHE OUT MOST, TWIST TONGUE AFTER BRUSHING, STRETCH LEGS WHILE SIPPING TEA, STRETCH ARMS WHILE COOKING, ROTATE EYES WHILE WORKING ON SYSTEM, VIEW FAR DISTANCE WHILE ON MOBILE PHONE, OBSERVE DIYA/LAMP WHILE LIGHTING IT, CALM YOUR NERVES AND SLEEP LIKE A CHILD.
Well, roti, sabzi, eggs, dal, etc. are good enough, and are the healthiest. You can always have them in moderation. Eat smaller portions. That worked for me.
Hey! I can relate. You can try and do some functional training in your room. That's what I've been doing, too. Some on the spot running would also help, along with crunches and planks. :)
Tried, multiple times, it's not the same feeling without the gym, companions and the music. Working out with jugaads in pandemic can actually give you the feels of prepping for some post apocalyptic drama xD on the brighter side I picked up on fasting and meditation. Onwards and upwards!
I have been working out on my fitness, which was all messed up during last 4-5 years. Have successfully shed 6 Kgs, and the routine has continued for over a month even after my office has restarted
I have kinds developed an addiction to Meditation these days.

~DOING SOMETHING~ matters.

kinda*
Random meetings without time limits to be blamed in my case.....
But, this excuse shouldn't be granted for henceforth....thanks for reminding 😊
Hi Girish!
I agree. A meeting cannot and should not turn into an excuse. :)
We have to 'make' time for things we 'want' to do. Set a reminder on your phone. Maybe that'll help.
Lack of Motivation
Hi Prasad!
In these grim times, I can understand it's hard to be motivated. But, there's a bright side. Tell yourself that you want to be at your fittest best this year. And write it down, mark it on the calendar, create a memo on your phone. :)
It'll happen.
The first push has to be from you, and only you!

Hi Reshma!
I do agree with you. Couldn't have said it better myself.
How to maintain a healthy diet in village where variety is not available like Oats, Salmon, Broccoli etc.
Daily and available foods: Rice, Roti, Green Vegetables, Chicken (not everyday is allowed at home), eggs (not everyday)
Hi!

Being stuck at PG forced me to follow irregular and lots of 'ready to eat' kind of food.
Due to lakh+ cases here, can't go outside for running/jogging.
So apart from Corona cases, only thing that's increasing is my Belly.
